THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY AT THE SOUTH-WEST UNIVERSITY “NEOFIT RILSKI” IS ORGANIZING AN INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ENTITLED “KNOWLEDGE, DIGITALIZATION AND THE FUTURE” TO COMMEMORATE ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY.
The event will take place on October 23–24, 2025, in a hybrid format – both on-site and online – and will provide a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and discussion on topics related to knowledge, digitalization, and the future, as well as on the interaction between science, technology, and society.
The conference will focus on four thematic areas: Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, and Political Science. The working languages of the conference are Bulgarian and English.
Over the past 30 years, the Faculty of Philosophy, along with its academic community and research achievements, has been a distinctive academic hub for generating new ideas and projects in the leading areas of contemporary scientific knowledge, and delivering high-quality education in the humanities and social sciences. Through its thematic scope, the Anniversary Conference “Knowledge, Digitalization and the Future” offers an open academic space for sharing research achievements, engaging in debates on current issues in science and education, and presenting innovative approaches related to contemporary knowledge and digital transformation.
Doctoral Scientific Session
As part of the conference, the Ninth Doctoral Scientific Session will also be held, offering young researchers the opportunity to present their scientific work and exchange experience with established scholars.
The event will bring together academics, researchers, and doctoral students from Bulgaria and a number of foreign universities, including institutions from the USA, China, Spain, Greece, Romania, Turkey, and Albania.
The conference program and additional information about the event are available on the official website of the conference.
